Admission procedure
Applications will be examined on a rolling basis and interested candidates are therefore invited to apply as soon as possible. No more than 25 participants will be admitted. Please write to summerschool@eu-los.eu.
Fee waiver positions
NEW! For the second time this year, we will offer up to two positions on a fee-waiver basis.
These will be dedicated to participants who are nationals of (and will be travelling from) countries currently (2023) listed among low-income economies according to the World Bank (reference).
The deadline for applying will be 15 June 2023 and successful candidates will be informed on or before 22 June 2023.
Only if none or only one eligible candidate from a low-income economies will apply by the above-mentioned date, also candidates who are nationals of countries currently (2023) listed among lower-middle-income economies according to the World Bank (reference) will be considered for the fee-waiver positions (provided that they will be travelling from their countries of citizenship for the purpose of attending the summer school).
The selection of candidates for the fee-waiver positions will fall under the exclusive responsibility of the Scientific Committee and will be based on merit, taking into account their curriculum vitae and their academic and professional profile only.
The overall, maximum number of such fee-waiver positions will be two. The waiver only covers the tuition fees and NOT travel, administrative, accommodation and living costs as well as any other incidental cost.
Teaching period
The summer school will be held from 28 August – 8 September 2023.
It will consist of 56 academic hours of teaching activities inclusive of traditional ex cathedra lectures, classroom training and group activities and a half-day roundtable.
Certificate and accreditation
Participants who actively participate in the whole course and successfully complete the assigned coursework will be issued with a certificate of attendance.
The course has been credited by the Department of Law of the University of Genoa with 9 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits.
Fee and payment
No tuition fee will be applied. Participants attending in person will be required to pay a symbolic contribution of Euro 500,00 which will include lunch breaks throughout the two weeks period.
